Glossary
IFR (Instrument Flight Rules)
Definition
A set of regulations and procedures for flying when visibility is reduced, relying on cockpit instruments rather than visual references. An instrument rating is required to fly under IFR.
Why It Matters
IFR training flights require IFR-equipped and IFR-current aircraft (current VOR and static system checks). The booking system must validate these additional requirements when an instrument training flight is scheduled.
