Aircraft Group
Definition
A grouping of similar aircraft types that share a common checkout. For example, all Cessna 172S models at a school might be in one group.
Why It Matters
Grouping aircraft simplifies checkout management. A pilot checked out in 'C172S' can fly any C172S in the fleet. Different groups (C172S, PA-28, C152) require separate checkouts.
