Postflight
Definition
The process after a flight that includes recording tach/Hobbs times, filing any squawks, and completing billing. The counterpart to preflight.
Why It Matters
Postflight data entry is where maintenance tracking gets its numbers. If tach times aren't recorded accurately after every flight, maintenance due dates drift and become unreliable. Automating postflight in the scheduling system prevents data gaps.
