Dual Instruction
Definition
A flight with both a student and an instructor on board. The instructor is the pilot in command (PIC) or is providing instruction to the PIC. Dual flights do not require the student to have a checkout.
Why It Matters
Dual flights are the most common booking type at a flight school. They require both an available aircraft and an available instructor. Billing typically includes separate aircraft and instructor rates.
